Sherman and Kay Critser have faithfully and effectively ministered cross-culturally for nearly forty years. They have served in Tanzania, Congo, and Côte d Ivoire; as regional coordinators for Africa; and as leaders with Native American Ministries of Church of God Ministries. Their cross-cultural experience, their persistent dedication to those at the margins, their commitment to discipleship, and their willingness to serve God’s church in some of the hard places of this world have set Sherman and Kay apart as dedicated and faithful servants of distinction within the kingdom.
As Sherman and Kay move toward retirement, presently they pastor Intercultural Chapel in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. While their ministry involves outreach, discipleship, and pastoral care to a small and declining Native American population in Scottsbluff, their ministry also reaches across country and state lines to serve the Lakota peoples in diaspora. The reality is, today many Lakota living off the reservation show little interest in the Christian faith.
From the beginning to the end of their ministry, Sherman and Kay remain committed to pointing all to Jesus the Lord of the nations, Jesus the Savior of the world, and Jesus the coming King.
